Top 5 IXL Users for Week 4
Well, well, well....These are the top 5 users for this week. Thomas Frendrup is proudly in first place with a whopping 1 hour and 26 minutes. William Bodle is in 2nd place with 56 minutes. Anna Atkinson is 3rd with 25 minutes, Abbey Morrison in fourth position with 24 minutes and Paris Campbell is fifth with 16 minutes. Huge congratulations to you all but massive congratulations must go to Thomas, he has been really trying with all of his studies this week. Keep going Thomas, we are all behind you.
Dear Parents, IXL's free trial is coming to an end. I have been notified that a classroom licence would cost each family just over $12. You can also purchase to use at home but a classroom licence would allow us to use at home and at school. I would love all of your feedback on this. Personally I would love the licence to continue as I have already noticed a difference in ability with the students that use the site regularly. Look forward to hearing from you.

WOW!!! That is so awesome!!! Go Thomas, I am so very very very proud of you my boy, what a super star!!! As a parent I support and recommend that we go with obtaining a classroom licence, so I am definitely in full support of this Mrs Marsh. This programme has definitely benefited Thomas hugely and I have never ever seen him engaged, motivated or inspired to do anything educational like this before. Thank you Mrs Marsh, I feel the best is yet to come from my boy. :).

Hi Mrs. Marsh yes I would also support a classroom licence. William seems to be staying focused. We have used mathletics in the past and found he very quickly got over the novelty of this website. It doesn't seem to be the case with IXL. I also think it makes a difference if its used in class as part of the their maths learning. The mathletics we did was done in isolation from the classroom at home and I think this was part of the problem. There needs to be continuity between what your doing in class and what they are doing on the website either at school or at home.

Hi Rachel and Sarah, thank you so much for the feedback. I agree with you, continuity is so important particularly when the strategies or knowledge is new to the students.
